Saw something hovering over the cornfield behind my house last night and I can't stop thinking about it

Mate, a hovering light over a cornfield is basically the universe sending you a personalised invitation to have a complete meltdown, and honestly I respect it.

Did you manage to get any photos? I've been trying to get into paranormal photography here in Norway and the one time anything remotely weird happened near my place I fumbled my phone like an absolute clown and got a blurry shot of my own thumb.

What did it look like up close? Lights, shape, sound? The "can't stop thinking about it" part is actually really telling to me - people who see something genuinely strange all say that, like it gets stuck in your head in a way that a normal thing just doesn't. Would love to hear more details if your up for sharing them.

@SortOfGlitch looks like your message got cut off there mate, did it hover or move at any point? That makes a massive difference - stationary lights over fields are usually drones or chinese lanterns drifting on the wind, but if it was genuinely hovering with no drift and then moved in a non-linear way thats when it gets interesting.

Cumbria here and we get a lot of "unexplained" lights that turn out to be military from the Lakenheath area or even just farmers with kit. But I've also seen one thing over Penrith that I still can't explain and it had that same quality people describe - like it was aware it was being watched. Would love to know more details from the OP.
