£450 for a thermal camera is actually pretty reasonable these days. I've seen proper professional-grade thermal equipment go for double that.

If you liked this one, check out the old BBC series 'A History of Ancient Britain'. Same production quality, similar approach to legend vs reality.

One thing that strikes me reading these documents is how formal and careful the language is. These aren't crackpots filing reports, these are trained military observers using proper terminology...

I've not read this specific book but I've read loads about Borley over the years. The problem is that every account contradicts every other account. Were there bells ringing?

Mine would have to be the Rendlesham Forest incident - oh wait, you said personally. Fair enough. Seriously though, my weirdest experience was in my parents' house in rural Yorkshire.

Would definitely appreciate that summary document if you're willing to share. This is exactly the type of primary source material that should be discussed seriously instead of being buried in...

The software is a right pain to navigate This. A thousand times this. I contacted their support and got a response 3 weeks later telling me to 'update my drivers'. Absolute shambles.

The fact that 60% had mundane explanations is actually quite reassuring. Shows the MOD weren't credulous - they investigated and found real explanations where they existed.

Objects exhibiting flight characteristics that shouldn't be possible with 1970s technology Could be undisclosed human technology though.
The redactions are the real story here. The MOD releasing these documents is good, but the fact that they're still redacting large sections 40+ years later suggests they know something they're not...
The pogo stick theory is brilliant because it actually fits the descriptions people gave - could explain the jumping, the speed, even the reported 'strange footfalls'.

The 'no editing' rule is sensible but a bit strict maybe? Sometimes you need to adjust levels to even see what's in a photo, especially if it was taken in poor light. Not everyone's a photographer.

Cheers for the review, mate. I've had mine for about 18 months now and honestly the software issue you mentioned gets worse with updates. Last patch actually made it slower.

The MOD just released another batch of declassified documents through the National Archives and there's some genuinely interesting stuff in here.
By trying to be so academically rigorous, Goss sometimes misses the forest for the trees This is such a good point.

Genuine question for you all - not looking to start a debate about whether ghosts are real, just curious what's actually spooked you the most. For me, it was about 12 years ago in my old flat in...

Right, I've been saving up for ages and finally took the plunge on one of these Paranormal Panda thermal cameras everyone raves about.
Honest self-criticism makes your post stronger, not weaker This is the bit I appreciate most. Too many forums are just echo chambers where everyone reinforces everyone else's beliefs.

They basically run out of actual evidence and start inventing theories Pretty much what I expected from Netflix to be honest.

Goss is hit and miss with me. He does good research but he's got a bit of a reputation for being dismissive of witness testimony.
