The solstice alignments are genuinely interesting, but they're not as mysterious as popular media makes them sound.
I've been reading a lot of conflicting information about the solar alignments at Stonehenge and I'm trying to work out what's actually established fact versus what's speculation or mysticism.From...
Honestly? Borley's reputation is mostly historical sensationalism. The Penrose stuff was largely debunked even at the time.

Welcome Sarah! Great to have a new member with some actual skepticism in the mix. The forum works best when people are genuinely trying to investigate their experiences rather than just looking...

If you want actually rigorous paranormal content, try The Cabinet of Curiosities podcast with Mike Dash.

You've already identified the main issue - pareidolia is absolutely the elephant in the room with EVP work.

I've been experimenting with EVP recording for about three months now and I keep getting frustrated because my results are either completely silent or so full of ambient noise that I can't tell if...
The best EVP I've ever recorded was on a basic Sony digital recorder (about £25) in mono. Stereo actually gives you more room for interference patterns to sound like words.

Always have independent validation. Play the recording to a friend without telling them what you're 'listening for' and see if they hear the same thing. If they don't, it's probably pareidolia.

The locals aren't exactly welcoming, fair warning. The land's privately owned now and they've had trouble with people leaving offerings and doing rituals.

Hi everyone, I'm new here and feeling a bit daft posting this, but I've been lurking for months and finally decided to join because I need to talk to people who won't immediately dismiss what I've...
Genuinely interested in more details. What colour was the figure? Did it make any sound? Did you notice anything about the environment (temperature, smell, unusual sensations)?

Had a mate recommend me a new paranormal podcast and it was absolutely dreadful - more interested in sensationalism than actual investigation.

I saw something similar over the Moors near Kielder Forest in September. Reported it to a mate who works for the MOD and he basically said 'don't worry about it'.

Bring a proper torch, not just your phone light. The site can be a right maze of rubble and overgrown gardens, and there's been reports of people twisting ankles. A good LED torch is about £15-20.

Starlink satellites don't explain the deliberate maneuvers you're describing. They absolutely do. Starlink trains look like a string of pearls moving across the sky because they're bunched together...

I've started doing EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) recordings during my investigations and I'm getting some genuinely interesting results, but I'm not sure if I'm actually doing it right or just...
Hello all, first time posting here but I've been fascinated by Borley Rectory ever since reading about the Penrose investigations.
Look up 'pareidolia' and 'sleep paralysis' if you want the skeptical angle. Shadow people and tall figures in the dark are the most common paranormal misidentifications.

Upload the dashcam footage to the site! We have some members who are brilliant with image analysis. If there's genuinely something unusual there, they'll spot it.
