Right, so I was up near Windermere last weekend with my mate Dave, taking some landscape photos around dusk.

Skip the EMF meter entirely and get a good digital thermometer with a probe. Temperature drops are far more reliable indicators than electromagnetic readings, and they're way cheaper.
