Hello everyone,

We're opening applications for volunteer moderators across several of our busier forums. We're particularly looking for people with experience in ghost hunting techniques, UFO analysis, and cryptozoology, but experience with community moderation is more important than paranormal expertise.

If you're interested, please submit an application through the form linked below. We're looking for people who can:

  • Keep discussions civil without being heavy-handed
  • Spot misinformation without dismissing genuine inquiry
  • Have a sense of humour (this is important)
  • Commit to at least 5-10 hours per month

We're also reorganising the forum structure. The 'Paranormal Retail & Marketplace' forum is being merged with 'Equipment Reviews' to reduce duplication. Any threads in Marketplace will be auto-moved over the next week. If you need to retrieve anything before then, now's the time.

Cheers,
Admin Team

Finally. The UFO Analysis forum has been absolutely dire lately - half the threads are just people posting phone videos with zero context and the other half are arguments about whether lens flare is proof of aliens. Proper moderation would help massively.

Just a heads up that the marketplace merge is going to make it harder to find specific equipment threads. Maybe add a search filter for equipment by category? Otherwise people will just post the same questions about EMF meters over and over.

I'd apply but I don't have five hours a week to commit. You could probably get better uptake if you made it flexible, but I understand the need to have consistent moderation. Good luck finding volunteers!

Brilliant. I've been moderating online communities for about eight years (mostly music forums, but I'm active here too) and I've got a genuine interest in proper paranormal investigation. I'll submit an application for the ghost hunting techniques forum.

Keep discussions civil without being heavy-handed
This is going to be tricky. The sceptics vs believers arguments get vicious sometimes. You need mods who can actually engage with both sides rather than just deleting posts.
