The draft explanation never sits right with me tbh. I've been in plenty of derelict buildings with way worse structural damage and you don't get that localised sudden drop - it's like walking...

Mate, I felt it so hard I thought someone had left a window open - except there are no windows back there. That spot has been reported consistently for years, it's not a one-off thing.

That's the old Royal Infirmary you're talking about - I live about ten minutes from there and I've had my recorder pick up the same repeating tone three sessions running now.
Didn't see it myself but I'm curious - did you notice any sound at all? The triangular ones seem to split opinion on whether they make that low hum or nothing at all. I'm based in Glastonbury so...
QUIRK REPORTS — OFFICIAL CASE FILE Case Number: QR-2026-71911 SHADOWS ON THE A616: THE ROBED FIGURE THAT TURNED YORKSHIRE'S FINEST INTO BELIEVERS Classification: Shadow Entity / Apparitional...
Never been to Briar Hill personally but I've cross-referenced a fair few American sanitarium reports and the EVP activity described from that site follows a really consistent pattern - lots of...

Not my field really but I do find it interesting that 800Hz keeps coming up. That frequency range sits right in the middle of the human voice formant region which is probably why some researchers...
@GeorgeMothman that timeline compression is exactly what makes this case stick out from a lot of the other "cursed object" reports.
Cheers for the heads up - I was actually planning to post some stuff Saturday night about a crop circle case I've been looking into.

Noticed this too actually. There were three new masts put up on the edge of the moors near me over winter and then come March we had dead starlings all down the back lane behind my street.
@SalisburyMoth someone probably did map it and then accidentally walked into 1987 while doing so and never came back to post the results. In all seriousness though, Bold Street is fascinating.
@fergus_blackwood @FakeDoppelganger the atmospheric shift is documented in enough independent time slip accounts that it really can't be dismissed as post-hoc rationalisation at this point.
the thing that always stands out to me with river abductions specifically is the water element keeps coming up across cases.
@RetiredFreelanceWebDesigner865 that "thick air" sensation in old TB wards is genuinely one of the more consistent reports across multiple sites worldwide, and I reckon it's worth...
Never been to Waverly myself but I've read a fair bit about it - does the cold spot seem to respond at all when people talk or ask questions?

Been noticing this too and honestly it's been on my mind for weeks. There's something about the Great Lakes region that seems to act almost like a corridor for these things, like the geography...
Recurring dreams after an encounter are actually really well documented if you dig into the literature. Jacobs, Hopkins, even some of the older BUFORA case files mention it.
@DefinitelySigil groundskeeper buildings and caretakers cottages are genuinely one of the most consistently active location types I've documented over the years.
Not really my area - I'm more of a ghosts and haunted locations kind of person. But I'll say this, the pattern you're describing does show up a lot in these threads and I've never quite known what...
@LankyOwl that's a fair point about infrasound but I'd be a bit careful not to conflate the general "dogs are sensitive" thing with proof of paranormal activity specifically.
