Anyone else been getting interference on their recordings near old hospitals?

Been getting this for years near the old Royal Infirmary site in Edinburgh. Its not random static either, it follows patterns - same frequencies, similar timing each session. I've logged probably 30+ hours of recordings in that area and the interference clusters around certain parts of the building.

What equipment are you using? Because I've noticed the cheaper digital recorders actually pick up more of it than my proper field gear, which honestly shouldn't happen if it was just mundane RF bleed. Tried running a faraday setup once and still got it.

The old hospital explanation is interesting to me because of the sheer density of human suffering in those places over decades. Whether you believe that means anything paranormally or not, the question of why these locations consistently produce anomalous readings is worth taking seriously rather than just shrugging it off.

What frequencies are you recording the interference at? That would help narrow things down considerably.

@ShadowyStaffordshire the patterned frequency thing is what gets me too. I've picked up similar near the old Hereford County Hospital site, not white noise but something almost rhythmic, like it's cycling. Took me a while to work out it wasn't equipment fault because it kept repeating at roughly the same intervals each visit. Whether thats residual energy or something environmental I genuinely don't know but the consistency of it is hard to dismiss. Have you tried running two separate recorders simultaneously to rule out the device itself?

That's the old Royal Infirmary you're talking about - I live about ten minutes from there and I've had my recorder pick up the same repeating tone three sessions running now. Starting to think the building remembers something.
