Never noticed a full moon pattern myself but I have had sessions where the recordings are crystal clear for no obvious reason and others where its just static garbage even in the same location.
Could you have just zoned out? Driving on a familiar route at night, your brain kind of goes into autopilot and you don't remember stretches of the journey. I've done this loads on the M25.
Pendle's one of those places where the history is so dark that you're almost required to find it haunted. Nobody goes there expecting a pleasant woodland experience.
