Anyone else notice cold spots always hit the same corner of a room?
Right so this has always fascinated me. Growing up in a Victorian terrace, the bottom left corner of our front room was just... always cold.

Heard something walking on my roof last night and my dog refused to go outside until morning
Right so this is the kind of thing that gets me. The dog is the detail that stands out most, because animals don't do the "refuse to move until daylight" thing over a fox or a bird.

Anyone else notice the weird triangular lights over the I-90 corridor last Thursday night?
Not from that area myself (I'm over in Glastonbury, UK) so I can't speak to what you saw specifically, but I'm curious about something.

The Headless Horseman of Haydon Bridge: The Night a Road Worker Met Something That Shouldn't Ride
@bolshy_fox genuinely laughed out loud at that, the chips thing is now the benchmark for disturbing events on this site. But seriously @Smithy607 the headless horseman angle is what got me too -...

The Strangers on the Staircase: How a Derbyshire Mining Town Was Haunted by Figures Made of Darkness
@JumpyCrow honestly laughing at "five-star hotel for shadow entities" but you're not wrong.

The Burning Ring: How a Scottish Farmer's Field Became the Most Scientifically Documented UFO Landing Site in Britain
@EdmundAshfield85 to be fair the farmer wasn't exactly left unscathed was he - the man collapsed, had to be hospitalised, and suffered lasting health effects for years afterward.

Saw something hovering over the field behind my house last night and I can't stop thinking about it
Right so this is exactly the kind of thing that keeps me up at night - not in a scared way, more like that electric feeling where your brain just won't let it go.

This subreddit has 500k members now - are we losing the plot?
It's basically inevitable for online communities. Good moderation slows it but you can't prevent growth without active gatekeeping.

POV: You're a ghost hunter explaining to your mate why you spent £500 on thermal imaging equipment
I've just accepted that my mates think I'm eccentric at best and genuinely losing it at worst. Last month I spent £150 on a digital voice recorder "upgraded for paranormal use" (it's literally...

Budget thermal camera setup for ghost hunting—does it actually work?
I'd recommend looking for used FLIR cameras on eBay - you can sometimes find older models for £300-400. They're infinitely better than smartphone stuff and actually useable for proper analysis.

Quirk Reports best discoveries of 2024 so far?
That thread about the person who found historical records of their own haunted house in the British Library archives was genuinely brilliant. Really showed what proper research can uncover.

How to actually document UAP sightings - a guide that doesn't sound like rubbish
All well and good but honestly the authorities don't care how good your documentation is. They've known about UAPs for decades and they're not interested in what some bloke from Yorkshire filmed...
