Alright folks, we're getting towards the end of the year so thought it'd be nice to look back on what everyone's found most interesting through Quirk Reports forums this year. Whether it's a location you investigated, a new technique someone posted about, a bit of research that blew your mind, or even just a brilliant conversation we've had.

For me it's been discovering that whole rabbit hole about Spring-heeled Jack turning up in witness reports throughout the 1980s in East London - hadn't realised he had such recent activity. And I got properly into EMF investigation after reading that technical guide someone posted in July. What about you lot?

That thread about the person who found historical records of their own haunted house in the British Library archives was genuinely brilliant. Really showed what proper research can uncover. Also has anyone else been using that new mapping tool to chart haunted locations across regions? That's been a game-changer for planning investigations.

Honestly the best discovery was realising how many total fantasists are on here and learning to spot the patterns. The accounts that start with 'I've never experienced anything paranormal but...' and end with detailed UFO abductions are usually fiction. But occasionally you get actual solid witness accounts and those make it worth wading through the nonsense. Keep the bar high, people.

For me it's been the podcasts and documentaries people have recommended. Found some genuinely professional investigative work through this community that I'd never have discovered otherwise. Also made a few actual mates through meet-ups for group investigations - didn't expect that when I joined!

The thread about sleep paralysis and how to distinguish it from actual paranormal encounters was probably the most useful thing this year. Saved me from freaking out unnecessarily multiple times since reading it. More stuff like that - practical, skeptical but open-minded - would be great going into 2025.
