I'm thinking about getting into ghost hunting properly, and everyone seems to recommend thermal imaging. But the decent cameras are £800+ which is proper money. I found a cheap thermal attachment for smartphones (about £120 on Amazon) and was wondering if anyone's actually used one of these?
Is it worth the investment or am I wasting money? The specs look reasonable - says it can detect down to 0.1 degrees Celsius variation, which sounds impressive. But I'm not sure if smartphone-based thermal is just gimmicky tourist tech.
Also, what else would you recommend for a beginner kit? I've got a decent torch already, but thinking about investing in:
- EMF metre (£40-60)
- Digital thermometer (£15)
- Maybe a decent video camera for backup
Total budget around £300-400. Thoughts?
