Check their back catalogue. Listen to a few episodes. Do they treat guests with respect? Do they let witnesses speak without constant interruptions and "skeptical" pushback?
Sleep paralysis is boring though, isn't it? I've had it happen and yeah, it's scary, but I'm more interested in the people who report actual missing time or unexplained marks on their body.
The notebook thing cannot be overstated. I know three people who've captured genuinely strange footage and can't remember half the details because they didn't write anything down at the time.
