Don't get too excited. "Unnamed American military attaché" could mean someone from the embassy or a liaison officer. Happens all the time in Cold War era files.
This area has genuinely high UAP activity. Look up the Rendlesham Forest incident - similar patterns reported there back in the day. The Highlands have had loads of reports going back decades.
