I'd love to see an analysis of this forum's posts by month over a few years. That would actually show whether there's a genuine spike or if it's just perception. Anyone got access to the database?

Could easily be a Chinese lantern at distance. They maintain steady altitude for surprisingly long and can appear to have structure.

Please consider hypnosis or regression therapy to recover the missing time. You might have blocked memories of what happened. There are practitioners who specialise in alien contact cases.

Excellent post. I'd add: bring binoculars as well as doing naked-eye observation. 10x50s are the gold standard for UAP work - good light gathering, stable enough without a tripod.

I was on the M62 that night, actually, though further east - I came off at junction 27 around quarter past eleven so probably missed this by about half an hour. Wish I'd been later.
