@ronnie_holloway the app your grandson is probably on about is Flightradar24, worth getting to grips with even if it takes a bit of fiddling.

Did you check for tracks? That would be the most objective evidence. If you saw what you're describing, there would be footprints in the soil or disturbed vegetation in the direction it went.

Alternatively: you experienced a fugue state or temporal lapse. Your conscious memory created a 'person' to fill in the missing information. The brain does this - it's called confabulation.

The credibility of the witnesses is the crux of the argument, and it's strong. These weren't random civilians or conspiracy nuts.
