I think people don't really know what to do with Rendlesham because it doesn't fit neatly into the UFO narrative. It's too well-documented to dismiss, but not mysterious enough to be exciting.

Caerphilly area? Oh mate, there's some proper activity reported there historically. Are you aware of the old UFO sightings from the '80s? Could be useful to compare notes.

The hard truth is EVP sits in this uncomfortable middle ground. It's probably not all pareidolia - people do seem to capture something on tape sometimes. But is it spirits?
