Anyone else been getting static bursts right before a spirit comes through on their recordings?

Been noticing this exact pattern on my last three investigations and it's driving me mad trying to work out if it's significant or just equipment interference.

I use a Zoom H5 for most of my EVP work and I've started going back through the raw files frame by frame (well, second by second I suppose) in Audacity. What I keep finding is a distinct burst of static, usually 2-4 seconds long, followed within about 30 seconds by what sounds like a Class B or Class A EVP response. Happened at Newsham Park Hospital back in October and again at a private residential I can't name.

A few questions I'm genuinely trying to work through:

Is the static causing some kind of interference that makes the EVP more audible, or is something actually drawing energy from the equipment before manifesting?, Could it be related to electromagnetic fluctuations? I've cross-referenced with my K-II readings and there does seem to be some correlation, Or am I just suffering from classic confirmation bias and only remembering the static bursts that precede something interesting?

The sceptic in me knows that last option is entirely possible. But the pattern feels too consistent to dismiss outright.

Has anyone else specifically logged these pre-EVP static events rather than just casually noticing them? I'm wondering if there's value in building a proper dataset across multiple investigators and locations to see if the timing holds up statistically.

Would love to hear if others are capturing this on different recorders too - particularly curious whether it shows up on Spirit Box sessions or just standard EVP recording.
