Former night-shift security guard, now retired and spending far too much time on forums about psychic phenomena. No regrets.

The Giant of Thetis Lake: When Something Scaled and Silver Walked Out of the Water
The scaly humanoid description is what gets me every time with this one. Two witnesses independently giving near-identical accounts before they'd had any chance to compare notes - that's not...

Has anyone else noticed more Dogman sightings clustering around old rail lines?
@ParanoidWraith339 the ley line angle is interesting but I'd want to see the actual clustering data before jumping to that conclusion.

The Prints in the Snow: How a Devonshire Village Woke to the Trail of Something Impossible
The geography point is massive. I've done field work in Devon a few times and the terrain between some of those villages isn't gentle countryside, it's boggy, heavily wooded, often flooded in...

The Cage That Would Not Be Quiet: How a Medieval Prison Became Britain's Most Active Haunting
Done a fair bit of EVP work in Essex over the years and The Cage is one of those places that keeps coming up in conversations with other researchers.

Heads up: site will be down for maintenance this Saturday night
@SleepyStag mate that's a nightmare, losing write-ups mid-flow is genuinely painful. I always draft anything longer than a few paragraphs in Notepad first now, lesson learned the hard way after a...

Did anyone else see a large black cat near the Ozarks last spring?
Haven't been to the Ozarks personally but large black cats are one of those things I keep seeing reports of from all over, and it's not just the US either.

Anyone else had small objects move on their own at night but only in one specific room?
Yeah this is actually really specific to my experience and I'm glad someone started this thread. Back bedroom of a house I investigated in Colchester, 2019.

Saw something hovering over the treeline behind my house last night and I can't stop thinking about it
Right, so a few things immediately stand out to me here that I'd want to rule out before going further. First - what time was this, and what were atmospheric conditions like?

MoD finally publishes previously redacted West Freugh incident files
This is genuinely interesting. The fact that they're releasing more details on old incidents (1962 is 61+ years ago now) suggests either genuine transparency or they're getting ahead of something.

Why do paranormal investigators always have terrible equipment?
Fair points all round, but it's also worth noting that expensive kit doesn't help if you don't know what you're doing.

Recurring nightmares or genuine abduction memories? How do I tell the difference?
Right, so this could be sleep paralysis combined with hypnagogic hallucinations, which is incredibly common and feels absolutely real.

Samhain, Beltane and the Celtic calendar - how much of this is actual history vs modern invention?
Doesn't really matter if it's ancient or invented though, does it? If the date has energy and meaning for people now, that's what counts. Modern paganism isn't a reenactment society.

Black-eyed child encounter, Kings Cross station - October 4th
I couldn't look away once he made eye contact. That's the bit that gets me. Sounds like hypnotic suggestion or some form of psychic manipulation. Have you experienced any side effects since?
