The part that got me was the claim that paranormal interest is "growing because people distrust official narratives." That's... probably accurate?

One thing to rule out: could your house be near an underground stream or geological fault line? Natural electromagnetic fluctuations can cause psychological effects that make people perceive...

SOFT DISCLOSURE CONFIRMED. I've been saying this for years. They're easing us in gently so we don't all panic.
The timing feels odd. Why drag it up now when the whole thing's been quiet for 40 years? Because it's the anniversary season coming up and heritage tourism is big money in Suffolk?
This needs proper investigation. Get a thermal imaging camera, set up motion sensors. If it happens again you'll have evidence.

Headingley's got quite a bit of history - the area was heavily industrialised in the Victorian era. Could be residual haunting activity triggered by the emotional stress in your home creating a...

Actually I thought it was decent for a mainstream outlet? They didn't explicitly call everyone mad, which is progress.

Mate, that's just how the BBC works. They mention anything vaguely weird whenever there's a local interest angle. Doesn't mean disclosure is happening tomorrow.
I had something similar in Bethnal Green about 5 years ago. Turned out to be a neighbour's cat in the window reflecting the hallway light. Sounds daft but once I worked that out I slept fine.

The motion camera footage is gold if you've got it. Can you describe what it shows with the cutlery drawer? That's the kind of evidence that helps rule out human movement.

Did anyone catch the brief mention on BBC News at Ten last night? They were covering some Norfolk heritage story and literally just dropped a 10-second reference to the Rendlesham Forest incident...

I secretly think the reason my football team has won nothing in 20 years is because of a curse from the old ground.

Mate, classic shadow person encounter. They're not ghosts, they're inter-dimensional entities that feed on fear and disrupted sleep patterns.

Is this escalating toward danger, and should we be contacting paranormal investigators or therapists? Why not both?

The Guardian does this every time - treats paranormal stuff as quaint local colour rather than something worth serious investigation. But honestly?

I'm convinced my dog can sense ghosts and sometimes I believe him more than the paranormal investigators who say there's nothing in my house.

Honest question: are you certain no one's moving these things? I don't mean that as an insult, but one family member could be doing this subconsciously as a cry for help.

Could be sleep paralysis even if you think you moved. The brain does weird things when waking. But if you're genuinely concerned about security, get a ring camera for the bedroom door?
