Did you feel anything else? Temperature drop? Smells? Electrical sensation? Any other physical sensations besides the hand itself? Those details matter for building a picture of what happened.

Honestly the best approach I've found is treating EMF as one tool among many rather than the gold standard.

My mate actually saw a chair in the lounge move about six inches on its own.How solid is your mate as a witness?

Have you tried doing your investigations at different times of day? Early morning tends to have less background EMF from businesses operating nearby.
Lakenheath is always interesting because you've got actual trained observers - RAF personnel - giving consistent accounts.
Right, first things first: film everything. Get it documented. Second: check your electrics. Dodgy wiring can cause all sorts - lights flickering, appliances behaving weirdly.

The mobile version is genuinely terrible on my phone too. I basically have to use the desktop version and zoom out, which defeats the purpose.
This is exactly the kind of report I find most credible, oddly. It's not spectacular, there's no dramatic narrative arc, your boyfriend and brother didn't immediately start acting like it's the...

I've used thermal on about thirty investigations and I've found exactly zero inexplicable temperature anomalies. Lots of explainable ones (exposed walls, windows, pipes).

Dowsing's been tested scientifically loads of times and never performs better than chance. I know it feels effective, but that's probably because you're subconsciously choosing spots that seem...

Alright lads, I've been lurking here for about six months and the content is brilliant, but I've noticed the discussions get a bit... one-sided sometimes.
I think the search issue is deliberate? Or at least that's what the mods said when I asked about it. Something to do with server performance or data protection regs. Not entirely sure.

OK so I'm probably going to sound mental but I'm typing this at 23:47 and legitimately spooked. My mate came round about an hour ago and we've both witnessed some very weird stuff in my Stoke...
Not sure if anyone else has noticed but the search isn't returning results from before 2022. I'm trying to find a thread from 2020 about the Pendle Forest incident but it's just not coming up,...
is the answer just "you can't, that's why EMF is unreliable"?That's... pretty much it yeah. EMF detection can be a useful data point in a broader investigation, but on its own it's not evidence of...

About 60% of the time, I get anomalies on those spots that I didn't get elsewhere. What's your baseline anomaly rate?

Right, so the National Archives released some files last month (March, I think?) related to UFO reports received by the MOD in the 1980s.
is thermal imaging more of a novelty on investigations? It's genuinely useful as part of a broader investigation.

I use a trifield meter instead of the K2 now. More precise, can measure different types of EMF separately. Costs more (about £130-150) but you get better baseline data.

Could have been an animal? Deer or a wild pony startling you from behind? Bodmin's got both and they're unpredictable. Your adrenaline's up, it's getting dark, and you spin around.
