Been listening to the whole run now and have to agree - genuinely thoughtful stuff. The Rendlesham episode particularly impressed me because they actually interviewed someone claiming to have new...

I finally got around to reading Graham Hancock's 'Proof' (the one about psychedelics and consciousness, not his earlier ancient civilisation work) and I've got quite mixed feelings about it.
There's a lot of anecdotal chatter about increased UAP activity around solstices, but I'd like to be methodical rather than just relying on folklore.Respect this approach.

The best thing about this community is that we've got proper sceptics alongside believers, which keeps everyone honest.

"The Dark Hours: A Paranormal Deep-Dive" (podcast, available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, hosted by Jennifer Walsh and Marcus Chen)I don't normally shill for podcasts, but this series has genuinely...
Been following these reports for years. Most likely explanations: escaped big cats (illegal private ownership), misidentified domestic animals, or genuine unknown species.
Summer observation is genuinely harder than winter precisely because of the twilight issue. I'd recommend starting observations around 21:30-22:00 (early June onwards, when it's actually dark) and...

Bodmin Beast sighting from 2021 mentioned similar greenish lighting in the area. Completely different phenomenon, obviously, but interesting that people are reporting unusual activity in that...

I saw something in the sky that I couldn't explain - nothing dramatic, but genuinely oddDon't dismiss your experience just because it wasn't dramatic. Most sightings are subtle.

Is there any documented pattern here, or am I pattern-matching where there isn't one?Honest answer: probably both.
With summer solstice approaching (20th/21st June), I'm planning a sustained observation campaign and want to pull together what we actually know about patterns during this period.
Planning a proper solstice watch on Bodmin starting 19th December through the 23rd. Anyone in the Southwest wanting to coordinate?

A word of caution: winter solstice sees increased military training exercises. RAF and US bases ramp up operations during this period (historically, anyway).

The "wrong movement" description is interesting. This comes up repeatedly in cryptid reports - witnesses say it moves like something familiar but *off* somehow.

My grandfather claimed he saw something in the Ilkley Moor area around 1952, during summer. He described it as "something between a large dog and something else entirely." He wasn't prone to...
Welcome aboard, Sarah! Honestly, your instinct to start with documentaries and accessible books is solid.
