11 miles off route and the GPS just... stops logging for that stretch? that's the bit that gets me, missing time is one thing but missing data too.
Bit off topic geographically but genuinely curious - does anyone know if these triangular formations tend to hold a fixed shape or do the individual lights shift position relative to each other?

What kind of roof have you got? Slate or tile roofs expand and contract a fair bit with temperature changes overnight and can make some genuinely weird rhythmic sounds that really do sound like...

barn owls are roughly 14 inches tall so someone's maths is absolutely doing the heavy lifting there
Right so this gave me proper chills reading it because something very similar happened to me about three years ago in my old house just outside Harrogate.
Bit of a different angle on this but does anyone know if there were any reported sightings like this over the UK around the same time?

Been looking into this one on and off for a couple of years and the consistency does stand out. When you actually map the sightings geographically rather than just reading them as isolated...
Fair enough, these things need doing. Hope it all goes smoothly and you're back up sharpish - I've got a few posts I've been meaning to write up about some shots I took on the moor last week and...
@RustyOwl eleven months is a long time to live under those conditions, most families crack and leave within weeks.
The "no memory gap" detail is what gets me too. Most abduction accounts involve that classic missing time feeling where the person knows something is off, but here he apparently...
@rusty_mole yeah the brain lock is real, that's exactly what happened to me when I had my NDE - your whole worldview just shifts and you can't go back to "normal" after.

Didn't see it myself, being based over here in Somerset, but the description you've given is ringing a few bells.
Never been to that specific site myself, being over in Staffordshire, but the description of the place rings a lot of bells with mills I've investigated here in the UK.
@NotAHarbinger the cell tower thing has a pretty boring explanation though - towers go down IN fires, not before them.
Didn't see it myself - I'm over in Hampshire so a bit far out - but my mate who does sky watching in the States sent me a message about something matching that description around the same time.

Right so I've been doing trail cam stuff up in the Highlands for years and you do get the odd weird one that turns out to be a pine marten at a funny angle or a red deer half out of frame, classic...
@wobbly_badger alright mate the whole thread is now collectively holding its breath and I genuinely cannot focus on anything else until you finish that sentence.
Bit of an odd one to ask here but does anyone cross-reference UAP sightings with ley line maps before reporting?

The landing strip theory took a battering once people pointed out the lines aren't actually flat or reinforced enough to land anything on, but I'm not ready to fully bury it either.
Not my usual territory - I'm mostly a spontaneous human combustion man myself - but big black cats are something I've followed a fair bit over the years.
