Didn't see it myself - I'm over in Hampshire so a bit far out - but my mate who does sky watching in the States sent me a message about something matching that description around the same time. He said it was completely silent and moved in a way that didn't fit any conventional aircraft he'd seen.
Got a question for anyone who was there though. Did you notice any effect on your equipment? Phone, camera, anything like that? I ask because when we've had craft reported near some of the crop formations I've investigated, people often mention their batteries draining fast or recordings cutting out unexpectedly. It's something I track with my EVP work as well so I'm genuinely curious whether the same thing showed up over the lake. Would help a lot if anyone kept notes on that sort of thing from that night.
