Bit off topic geographically but genuinely curious - does anyone know if these triangular formations tend to hold a fixed shape or do the individual lights shift position relative to each other? Reason I ask is we had something vaguely similar over the Somerset Levels about three years back, group of us on a night vigil for something completely unrelated, and the lights we saw kept a rigid triangle the whole time they were visible which always stuck with me as odd.
Not saying its the same phenomenon obviously, different continent and all that. But I've never found a satisfying explanation for what we saw that night and I keep wondering if the rigid formation thing is a consistent feature people report or whether I'm reading too much into it.
