The dark nights explanation is elegant and probably correct. Psychological studies show we're more susceptible to perceiving anomalies in darkness and isolation.
Bodmin has genuinely weird energy. I've been there loads and had strange stuff happen - not physical contact, but definitely unusual feelings, sounds that don't match any animal I know.
This is a solid suggestion. We could even have a monthly pinned thread counting down to significant dates. Would definitely improve the community aspect.
