Mate the fact you waited THREE nights before setting up a camera is honestly the most relatable thing I've ever read, because I would've been sleeping at my mum's by night one.
Mate, yes. The one we had in Whitby last March knocked out power in a dead straight line from the harbour up through the old town, lasted exactly 11 minutes, then came back.
Bit jealous honestly, we don't get much over Whitby apart from the odd light that turns out to be a fishing boat. But genuine question - did it make any sound at all?
Welcome mate! Don't worry about sounding mad - everyone here has at least one 'did I actually see that?' moment. The light bending thing is interesting.
