Mate I live right on the border of two ley lines and I swear the fields round here attract this stuff like magnets. What colour was it? That's always the first thing I want to know.

Ley lines run right through that part of West Virginia apparently, so you've got dodgy munitions underground AND an energy hotspot above ground - no wonder something weird decided to set up shop...

Funny you mention it, had my best EVP session ever last October during a full moon and got what sounded like a bloke saying "get out" clear as anything, nearly knocked my tea over.

There's definitely something to the Black Dog phenomenon, but I reckon it's misidentification coupled with folklore confirmation bias.
