Mate I live right on the border of two ley lines and I swear the fields round here attract this stuff like magnets. What colour was it? That's always the first thing I want to know. The ones I've seen near my place in Herefordshire tend to have this sort of orange-ish glow but a bloke down the road reckoned he saw a proper white pulsing one last summer. Post photos if you've got any even if thier blurry, blurry is basically the official format for UFO evidence anyway. How long was it hovering before it moved off?
