I can't describe it better than that. Mate, try. Even tiny details matter. Was it solid or translucent? Did it have defined edges or was it fuzzy? Colour? Sound?

I didn't see it from Manchester but there was increased air traffic yesterday evening - I heard two separate low-altitude aircraft late afternoon.

I've read about missing time on the A303 near Stonehenge and on various Scottish roads. There might be a pattern with ancient sites or ley lines.

Dark Sky Sites are listed on the CPRE website. Will definitely check this out. I've been driving out to random fields which is probably not the safest option.

The "collective attention generates anomalies" hypothesis is the one bit of simulation theory I actually find compelling, probably because it's at least theoretically testable.
