Been reading up on Socorro since getting into Mothman stuff - started noticing how many of these cases have physical trace evidence that just gets quietly ignored.

Not really my area - I'm more of a Mothman person myself - but even I know that TFRs over "uninhabited" land are a massive red flag.

Felt eerie, but a landscape that's been through that kind of violence is probably supposed to feel eerie. That's a thoughtful observation.

One technical suggestion: temperature fluctuations can affect electronic equipment's performance. Winter cold might be making your recording device more or less sensitive depending on the model.
