I know the Beast of Bodmin Moor has been going on since the 1970s, and most people think it's bollocks, but I'm curious if anyone's had recent sightings or knows someone who has?
Just planning to finally visit Rendlesham Forest and see if I can get anything on my equipment. Been meaning to go for years. Probably February when it's at maximum spookiness.

This is brilliant work. I've been wanting to build something similar but didn't have the technical background. Would definitely appreciate the code and diagram.

I've been doing EVP work for fifteen years and my honest assessment? Maybe 5% of what I record is genuinely anomalous.

The scientific consensus is basically 'inconclusive but probably mostly pareidolia.' Which isn't satisfying but it's honest.

Blimey, would love to cross-reference this with the station logs from that period. Were there any accidents or deaths on that line around that time?

I've been having the same repeating experience for about three years now, roughly twice monthly. I wake up completely paralysed, aware of my surroundings but unable to move, and I see three...
This is fascinating because the Underground has documented hauntings going back centuries. Broad Street's built on old burial grounds.

This is all nonsense. There's no scientific evidence that autumn equinox affects paranormal activity because paranormal activity doesn't exist.

older analogue technology actually captured something different Interesting theory, but I'd be sceptical.
I've been frustrated with the cost of commercial EMF detectors (£150-400 for decent ones) so I've built my own using a simple Arduino circuit, an MCP3008 ADC converter, and a standard coil...
Pendle Hill is absolutely rammed with activity. The witch trials energy is intense there. Pro tip: the really good stuff happens between 2-4am. That's when the veil is genuinely thinnest.
I'm doing a proper systematic study of Borley Rectory archives this winter - not going to the site, just researching historical documentation and trying to separate fact from legend.

how do you filter it in post-production?Audacity (it's free) has a noise reduction tool that's honestly brilliant.

Honestly stick with thermometer, audio recorder, notebook. That's what worked for decades before we had gadgets.

My grandfather was a railway worker on the Metropolitan Line back in the 1950s and I only just got him to talk about something that happened at Broad Street Station in June 1952.
The Borley Rectory recordings are genuinely spooky when you listen carefully, though modern analysis suggests at least some of them are pareidolia or tape artefacts.

None of this stuff actually detects ghosts. You're just buying fancy thermometers and radios that will confirm whatever you want to believe. Save your money, invest in critical thinking instead.

I've been studying the paranormal research conducted at Borley Rectory in the 1930s-50s, and I'm fascinated by how investigators documented electronic voice phenomena before modern recording...
Brilliant sighting report - exactly the kind of data we need more of. The three-witness thing is crucial for credibility.
