Weird lights over the Pennines on Halloween night - anyone else see them?

Posted this on social media but got mainly dismissal so I'm hoping Quirk Reports might take it seriously. On Halloween night (31st October) around 9:30pm I was driving over Holme Moss on the A6024 (between Holmfirth and Glossop) when I saw genuinely weird lights in the sky.

Not a plane - they moved too erratically and there were multiple distinct light sources, maybe 4-5 of them, arranged in a loose formation. They were orange/amber coloured and seemed to pulse in coordination with each other. They lasted about 90 seconds before moving rapidly south and disappearing.

Details:
- Clear night, good visibility
- Three witnesses in my car (my partner and two mates)
- No sound at all
- Moved against the prevailing wind direction

I've got video on my mobile but it's poor quality - the lights just look like blobs. Has anyone else reported seeing this or similar phenomena over the Pennines or wider Yorkshire area? I'm not claiming aliens or anything dramatic, just... what the hell was it?

Could be Chinese lanterns - they move in formation if released together, orange glow, no sound, visible for about that duration. The "moving against wind" is tricky though - they should drift with air currents. Worth investigating but probably mundane explanation.

moved rapidly south and disappearing

Sounds like aircraft with lights in a particular configuration. Military helicopters often fly over that area at night. The pulsing could be reflections or the way your eyes processed the movement. Still, if three people saw it, that's credible testimony worth recording.

I saw something almost identical near Buxton about two weeks earlier! Same configuration, same colour, pulsing lights. I didn't report it because I thought people would laugh. The fact you've got witnesses is important - upload that video anyway, even if it's poor quality. The metadata could be useful.

This matches reports I've seen from the Skinwalker Ranch investigations - clusters of lights that move intelligently and independently. Obviously we can't assume it's the same phenomenon, but the pattern is consistent with documented UAP activity. Get that video analysed properly, not just by mates who'll dismiss it.

Brilliant sighting report - exactly the kind of data we need more of. The three-witness thing is crucial for credibility. Keep that video file safe, consider uploading it to MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) if you haven't already. They have actual researchers who analyse this stuff properly.
