The landing strip theory is pretty much dead from a serious archaeology standpoint, the ground is too soft to support any aircraft we know of and the lines themselves are only a few inches deep.

I'd add a notebook and pen to that list (sounds stupid but it's crucial), a mobile with a reliable recording app, and maybe a basic motion sensor (around £15 from Argos).
