I've seen this. The file metadata was supposedly scrubbed, which is odd. If someone genuinely caught something on their mobile, the metadata would normally still be there unless they deliberately...
Here's the uncomfortable truth: 95% of these cases are explainable by draughts, settling foundations, mice in the walls, or psychological suggestion. Your partner's skepticism is actually healthy.
