Every few years someone publishes another sceptical reassessment of Borley Rectory and the Harry Price investigations, and every time it gets treated like the final word on the matter.

I grew up near Goathland and that specific stretch between the car park and the village has a reputation locally that most people don't talk about much.

Okay I don't want to be the boring one but... could it have been a grouse? They make absolutely bizarre noises at night and if one was moving through the heather alongside you at a similar pace it...

The Barguest thing is genuinely interesting - there are dozens of recorded accounts from the North Yorkshire area going back centuries.
8/10 feels about right. I'd maybe bump it to 8.5 purely on the basis of the production and the evident research that goes into the scripted episodes.
Right, I've been putting off writing this up for months because I wasn't sure anyone would take it seriously, but here goes.
I'll be honest, I think some of the redactions are less about hiding UFO secrets and more about hiding mundane things that would be embarrassing for other reasons - budget overruns, procedural...
They did a Rendlesham episode - it's episode 78 I think, titled something like "The Incident in the Forest".
Does anyone know if they're ever going to do a Rendlesham Forest episode? It feels like a glaring omission given how thoroughly they've covered most of the major British cases.
Honestly the thing that gets me isn't what's redacted, it's what's not in there at all. The Rendlesham Forest incident happened in 1980 and the documents we've seen through various releases are...

Can we also talk about the people who post extremely dramatic sighting reports and then never reply to any follow-up questions?

Nick Pope spent years running the MOD's UFO desk and has talked quite openly about the frustration of working within a system that simultaneously took the subject seriously enough to investigate...
Drones mate. I know that's boring but a formation of three coordinated drones with amber lights doing a slow river traverse is entirely plausible in 2024.

I live in Thamesmead and I was walking the dog around that time on Tuesday but I was facing the other way toward the estate. Didn't see anything.
Sensible stuff. The best sceptical posts on here have always been the ones that actually do the work - look up the NOTAM, check the geological survey, find the historical record - rather than just...

I'll be the dissenting voice here - I tried three episodes and found Diane quite grating, if I'm honest.
