Witnessed possible cryptid near Bodmin Moor - 23rd November

Still shaking a bit as I type this. My girlfriend and I were driving back from Wadebridge around 11:30 PM on the 23rd when we spotted something massive crossing the B3266 near Bolventor. The headlights caught it for maybe 3 seconds.

It was definitely four-legged, dark brown or black, easily the size of a large dog - bigger, actually. More like a small pony but the movements were all wrong, too fluid. My girlfriend is adamant it was the Beast of Bodmin. I'm less certain but it was not a normal animal.

I've reported it to the local wildlife trust but wanted to see if anyone else has spotted anything unusual in that area recently. We're planning to go back with proper equipment next month.

The Beast of Bodmin sightings have been fairly quiet for a couple of years actually. Your timing is interesting. There was a similar report in September from someone near Rough Tor but nothing confirmed. Do you have dashcam footage?

Could've been a deer tbh. They're common on Bodmin and if you've never seen one at night in headlights they can look genuinely weird. But I wasn't there so can't say for certain. Worth checking for tracks if you go back?

Proper intrigued by this. I live in Bodmin and I've heard at least three second-hand accounts of something similar since summer. Never believed any of it until now. If you do go back with equipment let us know - I might join you.
