Still shaking a bit as I type this. My girlfriend and I were driving back from Wadebridge around 11:30 PM on the 23rd when we spotted something massive crossing the B3266 near Bolventor. The headlights caught it for maybe 3 seconds.
It was definitely four-legged, dark brown or black, easily the size of a large dog - bigger, actually. More like a small pony but the movements were all wrong, too fluid. My girlfriend is adamant it was the Beast of Bodmin. I'm less certain but it was not a normal animal.
I've reported it to the local wildlife trust but wanted to see if anyone else has spotted anything unusual in that area recently. We're planning to go back with proper equipment next month.
