I'm planning a proper EVP investigation marathon for winter solstice (21st December). The longest night, shortest day, maximum darkness - theoretically the veil should be absolutely paper-thin. I want to make sure I'm doing this right.
My current setup: Sony digital recorder, external microphone (cost me £89 from Maplin), a quiet room, and basic grounding techniques. I've been getting some interesting results over the past year but nothing conclusive. I'm wondering if there are specific techniques that work better during solstices, or if I should change my approach entirely.
Has anyone done intensive EVP work during solstices before? What were your results? And more what precautions should I take? I've heard stories about people opening themselves up too much during high-veil periods and getting unwanted attention.
