What's everyone investigating this winter? Seasonal paranormal hotspots?

Alright Quirk Reports crew, thought I'd start a general thread about winter investigations. It's proper dark season now (mid-November), which is traditionally when paranormal activity supposedly increases. Could be confirmation bias, could be that people are paying more attention to spooky stuff when it's miserable outside, could be that something genuine is happening.

I'm planning to revisit Pendle Hill in Lancashire during the winter solstice period - there's old witch trial history there, and apparently there's been a recent uptick in 'strange activity' reports (admittedly from Reddit, so take that with salt). Probably won't find anything, but it's a good excuse for a winter hike.

What's everyone else doing? Anyone got local legends or hotspots they're keen to investigate? Or are you lot just staying in front of the fire and watching paranormal documentaries? (No judgment if so - it's bloody cold outside.)

I'm doing the London Underground thing - there are supposedly phantom stations and odd reports from the deep tunnels. Obviously you can't actually access most of it, but there's some fascinating history around disused stations. Might try the Circle Line late at night and just observe. Probably just bored commuters and infrastructure, but it's interesting.

Pendle Hill is brilliant. Fair warning though - it gets proper packed with tourists even in winter, and the locals aren't always chuffed about paranormal investigation types. Respectful approach goes a long way. There's some genuinely creepy history there beyond the witch trials.

I'm mostly staying in with hot chocolate and rewatching The Haunting of Hill House if I'm being honest. Winter paranormal investigation sounds miserable. Give me spring and summer for that nonsense.

Borley Rectory stuff in Essex is worth revisiting. Most people assume it was all hoaxes, but the original case files have some genuinely odd details that haven't been properly investigated with modern techniques. Might attempt a winter session there.

Honestly this. Winter is psychologically darker, people are more suggestible, everyone's watching horror films instead of documentaries. Activity probably doesn't actually increase, we're just more receptive to it.

Cheers for the Pendle Hill tip. I'll definitely be respectful - locals are always protective of sensitive sites. The winter solstice investigation is more about the energy of the place and the historical context. Whether anything 'supernatural' happens is secondary.
