This might sound completely barking mad, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced what I can only describe as a 'reality glitch' on the London Underground. I was on the Northern Line (King's Cross to Leicester Square, around 14:15 last Thursday) when something genuinely odd happened.

For maybe three or four seconds, the carriage seemed to... flicker? Like a video skipping frames. People's positions changed slightly. The sound of the train became distorted. Then it snapped back to normal. Nobody else seemed to notice or acknowledge it. I asked my mate sitting next to me if he felt anything and he looked at me like I'd lost it.

I'm not claiming it was definitely a 'glitch in the matrix' or anything, but I'm curious if this is a known phenomenon. Weird sensory experience? Mass hallucination? Temporal anomaly? I'm open to suggestions that don't involve me being completely mental.

This is a classic 'time slip' or 'reality stutter' report. They pop up in paranormal forums pretty regularly, especially on London Underground. Possible explanations: electromagnetic interference affecting your brain, dissociation episode, or genuine temporal anomaly. The fact that nobody else noticed is actually consistent with these reports.

Sounds like a dissociative episode to me, honestly. Your brain temporarily loses sync with external stimuli. Not a glitch in the universe, just a glitch in your own neural processing. Happens to loads of people, especially on transport when you're tired or stressed.

Underground tunnels have weird electromagnetic properties. It's possible the Northern Line's power systems created a brief field that affected your temporal perception. Not saying that's definitely what happened, but it's more plausible than actual reality glitching.

If simulation theory is correct, glitches like yours would be evidence of rendering errors or memory updates. The fact that other people didn't notice could mean it was your consciousness that briefly detected the underlying code before it resynced. Or you could just be tired. Hard to say, innit.

The Underground is genuinely weird. Deep tunnels, old infrastructure, thousands of people moving through confined spaces. If there's anywhere in London where reality might be thinner or stranger, it's probably down there. Keep an eye out for similar incidents. Document them properly if it happens again.
