This might be the least paranormal topic on this forum, but hear me out: there are definitely wallabies living wild in parts of Britain. Not explained. Not fully documented. Not catalogued by official wildlife authorities.

I've got personal experience with this - saw one (definitely not a rabbit, definitely not a deer) in a field near Ashford in Kent about three years back. Reported it to the council, got told I was barmy.

But there's a whole hidden population somewhere, and I'm interested in tracking sightings. Anyone got photos or encounters?

The Ashford wallabies are semi-legendary. There was a proper breeding population escaped from a private collection in the 1970s. They genuinely do exist, but wildlife authorities won't formally acknowledge it because it makes them look incompetent.

I've got friends in Essex who've definitely seen something unusual jumping through fields at dusk. Too big for rabbits, wrong shape for deer. Whether it's actually a wallaby or just folklore, something odd is going on.

This is brilliant because it's the intersection of cryptozoology and documented reality. Wallabies DID escape. They COULD survive here. But because they're not "paranormal" enough, nobody does proper research. The rigorous approach would actually help this case.

There's definitely been escaped exotic animals establishing populations around the UK. Muntjac deer, ring-necked parakeets, the lot. Wallabies are less implausible than half the stuff on this forum, honestly.

Has anyone actually tried to capture footage or specimens? This is the kind of thing that could be solved with proper organisation and patience. Unlike Nessie, wallabies can't hide forever.
