That TikTok video everyone's sharing - lens flare or actual UFO?

I'm sure everyone's seen it by now - the video of what's allegedly a UFO over Manchester that's been shared about two million times on TikTok. It's blown up to the point where local news is asking about it.

I've watched it probably thirty times now and I keep going back and forth. The object appears to have consistent luminosity and movement pattern that doesn't quite match typical aircraft or helicopters. But the footage is taken through what looks like a phone window with significant reflection, so there's obviously a lot of variables that could explain it.

I'm not going to say it's definitely anything yet, but I thought I'd post it here and see if anyone with more expertise in video analysis wants to have a look. The original poster claims to have filmed it at 8:47pm on Tuesday evening, clear night, no wind, watched for approximately three minutes.

Has anyone done the geolocation on this yet? Or pulled the metadata? Keen to see if we can narrow down what we're actually looking at rather than just speculation.

The metadata's been scrubbed from the TikTok version, but I managed to find an earlier upload on Reddit that still had EXIF data. Filmed near Stockport, not Manchester proper, around 20:45 (slightly earlier than the claimed time). Phone used was an iPhone 12, so decent resolution potential. The reflection on the window is definitely going to complicate analysis though.

I've been doing some frame-by-frame analysis and the movement is actually pretty consistent with a conventional aircraft at distance, to be honest. The luminosity changes in a way that's consistent with light refraction through window glass and evening sun angle. Probably just a plane, unfortunately.

I'd actually argue it does match aircraft behavior pretty closely if you account for camera movement and window distortion. The person's clearly holding the camera steady-ish, but there's still micro-movements that could make a plane look unusual.

The timing's interesting - 8:47pm in early November, so quite dark already but still some light on the western horizon. If it's a plane, it would be catching low-angle sun which would make it really bright and potentially odd-looking through a phone camera. I'm leaning toward mundane explanation, but it's not 100% certain.

Everyone's so quick to say 'probably a plane' that sometimes we dismiss things too easily. Let's actually do proper analysis instead of just assuming. What's the angular velocity? Can we measure it against known aircraft speeds? Has anyone checked for aircraft traffic near Stockport at that time using flight tracking data?
