Strange lights over Bodmin Moor, Saturday night - anyone else see them?

Right, so I was driving back from Wadebridge around 11:30pm on Saturday (the 14th) when I saw these absolutely bizarre lights hovering over the moor, just off the A30. Proper silent, no sound whatsoever, which ruled out helicopters in my mind. They were moving in this really unnatural way - jerky, almost. Couldn't get my phone camera to focus properly, typical innit.

They stayed visible for maybe two minutes before just... vanishing. No fade-out, no gradual movement. Gone. My mate Sarah was with me and she was absolutely bricking it. We're neither of us prone to flights of fancy, both work in insurance, so we tend to be fairly rational about these things.

Just wondering if anyone else in Cornwall or Devon spotted anything similar that night? Local news hasn't reported anything which is typical.

I was walking my dog near Cheesewring around that time and didn't see anything, but I definitely heard something. Sort of a low frequency humming that made my fillings ache. Dog was not having it at all, wanted to head home immediately. Didn't think much of it at the time but now you mention it...

Mate, that's probably just the military doing exercises. Bodmin's got all sorts of MOD activity. Not saying there's nothing weird going on, but 9 times out of 10 it's RAF doing night training runs. The 'jerky movement' thing you mention is actually consistent with modern drone technology, which they test out there regularly.

Did you report it to the Met Office or the RAF? There's a proper reporting procedure for this stuff. I've got a contact who runs the Southwest UFO reporting network, if you want me to pass your details along. Always good to get these logged officially.

This is exactly what my neighbour described after the incident near Tavistock last month. I'm becoming more convinced something's actually happening in the Southwest. Weather balloons my arse.

Could've been ball lightning? I know that sounds mad, but it's a genuine phenomenon that scientists still don't fully understand. Does that explanation fit with what you saw at all?
