Stonehenge summer solstice energies - has anyone actually felt them?

Right, I'm going to ask the question that'll probably get me laughed out of here, but I'm genuinely curious. Every June, loads of people turn up at Stonehenge for the solstice alignment, and I keep hearing about 'energies' and 'spiritual awakening' and all that. But has anyone on here actually experienced something tangible? Not metaphorical, not 'I felt a bit tingly' - actual weirdness?

I went last summer with my partner and honestly felt bugger all except a sore neck from craning upward. But then my mate swears blind he saw the stones glow faintly at dawn. Could be the early light playing tricks, could be something else. Thoughts?

I've been going for about fifteen years now, and I'll be honest - the atmosphere is incredible, but I've never seen anything that screams 'paranormal.' That said, there's definitely something about standing there at solstice that gets under your skin. Whether that's ancient psychology or actual energy, dunno. I lean toward geology and ley lines affecting us somehow, but that's just me theorising over a pint.

It's always early light or camera tricks, isn't it? That's what the debunkers say. But if you look at the astronomical alignment, the precision of these stones... that wasn't luck. So either the ancients knew something about energy we've forgotten, or they were just brilliant engineers. Both are interesting, if you ask me.

I've got a friend who's a proper archaeologist, and she reckons the whole 'energy' thing is nonsense, but she also admits the stones have acoustic properties that haven't been fully studied. Sound can affect the human body, right? Maybe that's what people are sensing. Anyway, going this year again - will try to be more scientific about it and actually measure something.

Glowing stones? Your mate was probably three sheets to the wind, mate. 😄 Though I did read somewhere that some minerals can phosphoresce under certain light conditions. Bit of a long shot, but there you go.
