Something followed me home from Bodmin Moor—still happening three months later

I'm not sure why I'm writing this down now, but it's been getting worse and I need to tell someone who won't think I'm completely mad. Back in August, I went hiking on Bodmin Moor with my partner and we had a genuinely unsettling experience. Felt watched the entire time, which is normal enough outdoors, but there was something more deliberate about it.

We didn't see anything specific, but my partner got this overwhelming sense of dread that she'd never experienced before. We left quickly. Nothing dramatic happened, but the feeling was real.

Here's the weird part: I think something followed us home. I live in Cornwall (about 30 miles from Bodmin) and since August, I've had odd occurrences. Scratches on the outside of my windows from the inside (no explanation), my dog refusing to go into certain rooms, temperature drops in specific spots, and this constant feeling of being watched in my own home.

My partner thinks I'm stressed and manifesting anxiety. Which is possible, but this feels different. It feels present. Has anyone heard of attachment phenomena after paranormal encounters? Is this a known thing?

Bodmin's got serious documented history. Ghostly horseman sightings, mysterious lights, odd disappearances. It's not the friendliest location paranormally speaking. The fact that both of you felt something is significant - shared experiences are harder to dismiss as individual anxiety.

Scratches from the inside of windows is concerning and should probably be investigated practically first. Could be wood settling, animal damage, anything really. Get someone to check your house before assuming paranormal. That's the responsible first step.

Attachment phenomena after encounters is definitely reported, though it's not universally accepted. Some believe certain locations have entities that can 'latch on' to people who've visited. Others say it's psychological displacement. The honest answer is: we don't know enough to say either way.

temperature drops in specific spots
This is actually documentable. Get a decent digital thermometer and actually measure the temperature variations. Keep a log for a few weeks. If you're genuinely getting consistent 5+ degree drops in specific locations, that's interesting data whether it's paranormal or not (could be drafts, insulation issues, etc).

Before assuming attachment, consider: have you been more stressed since August? Your subconscious can create these experiences if you're primed to look for them. Not saying it's not real, but psychological factors are worth acknowledging alongside paranormal explanations.
