Server maintenance this Saturday—brief downtime expected

Hi all,

Just a heads-up that we're doing scheduled server maintenance this Saturday, September 21st, between 2-4pm BST. The forums will be inaccessible during this window.

We're upgrading our data infrastructure and moving to more reliable servers (finally - I know some of you have experienced slowness the past few weeks and we apologize). The upgrade should improve site speed and stability going forward.

All data will be backed up beforehand so nothing will be lost. We expect to be back online by 4pm but may need an extra 30 minutes if anything unexpected comes up.

Thanks for your patience and for being part of our weird little paranormal community. We'll be back soon.

Cheers for the notice. 2-4pm works fine for me. Looking forward to faster load times - some of the threads with lots of images have been sluggish lately.

Will we lose any of the recent posts from the last few days? Just want to make sure before I write anything crucial this week.

Good timing honestly - the site's been a bit dodgy. Really appreciate the transparency about what's happening. Makes a nice change from some forums that just go dark without explanation.
