Posted this on Reddit first but figured you lot would actually take it seriously. I'm a ghillie up near Braemar, so I'm out on the hills most days. On August 23rd, found something in a remote glen that I still can't explain.

Three footprints, pressed deep into soft peat near a stream. Each one roughly 16 inches long - way too big for any bear or deer, and we don't have bears anyway. The depth suggests serious weight, maybe 400+ kilos. Pattern was bipedal, very human-like gait. I took photos but my camera "corrupted the files" (yes, classic I know). Got one blurry photo on my mobile though.

Haven't seen any Sasquatch evidence in 15 years working these hills. But this summer's been different - hikers reporting odd howls, animals spooked, unusual tracks. Something's moved in. Anyone else in Scotland noticed anything? Or is this just wishful thinking on my part?

Did you check if there are any circus animals that escaped? Honestly mate, before jumping to Sasquatch, rule out the mundane stuff first. But 16 inches is pretty compelling if you're measuring accurately. Any hair samples caught on nearby branches?

As a biologist (not speaking as one on this forum, just my background), I'd need to know: claw marks? Toe articulation? How far apart was the stride? Humans can make weird prints in peat depending on footwear and angle. Not saying you're lying - just that Scottish peat is weird stuff.

Braemar's not far from the Cairngorms. That's BIG wilderness. If something large is living up there, summer is the season it'd be most active, moving between territories. The howls are interesting - Sasquatch vocalizations have been recorded in similar terrain in Canada. You should contact some of the cryptid research groups, they might want to send a team.

Can you share the blurry mobile photo? At least then we can discuss specifics rather than speculation. And honestly, a ghillie's testimony is worth more than some TikTok "evidence" anyway.

Love the horror-movie setup 😄 But seriously, if there's something new in the Highlands, poachers would've noticed too. Have you asked around the village pubs? Ghillies and estate workers gossip constantly - someone's definitely seen something if there's a breeding population.
