Right so this is basically me every other Tuesday living near the A13 in Essex, turns out it's usually a drone or a bloke with too much time and a Lidl quadcopter. BUT - and this is a big but - there was one night about two years ago where whatever I saw over the fields behind my place made absolutely no sound, had no blinking lights, just sort of hung there and then went, and to this day I genuinely cannot explain it.
What did it look like, size wise? Was there any sound at all or was it dead quiet? The silence is always the bit that gets me because you can usually hear drones, they sound like an angry wasp.
Definitely post if you managed to get any photos or video mate, even a blurry one is better than nothing, and don't let anyone talk you out of what you saw.
