Mate this is exactly the kind of thing that happens round here in Pendle and nobody ever believes you when you tell them. What colour was it and how long did it hover for? Also was there any sound because thats the bit that always gets me, people always say completely silent which just doesn't make sense for any normal aircraft. Post a photo if you've got one even if its blurry, blurry is basically the standard for this stuff anyway. I've been trying to catch something on camera for months and somehow the one night I forget my phone is the night weird lights show up over the moors. Typical.
