Saw something hovering over the cornfield behind my house last night and I can't stop thinking about it

Blimey, I'd be the same - once something like that gets into your head it doesn't leave. I'm based in Cardiff and we don't get a lot of reports from rural areas which is exactly where these things seem to happen most, if you think about it. Wide open skies, no light pollution, less people around to dismiss what you're seeing.

Can you describe the shape at all? Or roughly how long it stayed in one position before it moved (or did it just vanish)? That detail about it hovering is what jumps out at me - drones drift a bit even in calm conditions, they don't just sit perfectly still, so that rules out the obvious explanation for a lot of people.

I've only been looking into this stuff properly for about two years so I'm no expert but I've read enough accounts to know that the cornfield setting comes up more than you'd think. There's a few researchers who reckon agricultural land specifically attracts this kind of activity. Would love to hear more details if your up for sharing them.
