Saw something hovering over the cornfield behind my house last night and I can't stop thinking about it

Right so this is exactly the kind of thing that keeps me up at night and I haven't even seen it myself. What was the movement like - was it completely stationary or doing that slow drift thing where it looks still but you can tell it's adjusting? That's the detail that always gets me with these cornfield reports because drones have a particular wobble to them and genuinely unexplained stuff tends to hold position in a way that feels almost too deliberate.

Also what time roughly? And was there any sound at all, even faint? Because Cheshire gets a fair bit of military traffic at weird hours and I've been fooled before, not gonna lie.

Post some photos if you have any, even rubbish ones are useful. Sometimes the blur tells you more than a clean shot would.

@NotARelic the "slow drift" thing is actually one of the more telling details people overlook. A lot of misidentifications get ruled out the second someone says it was doing that low, deliberate sideways float with no wobble, because nothing conventional really moves like that at low altitude. Drones drift but they correct constantly and you can usually hear them. Was there any sound at all? That's my first question every time. Complete silence at close range is the one detail that genuinely doesn't have a boring explanation.
